Our client, a prestigious firm specializing in group benefits, personal, and commercial lines of insurance, is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Account Manager to manage a significant book of business. This role is pivotal for the firm, focusing on managing accounts that are mostly fully and level funded, with a particular emphasis on 50-100 employee/lives books and a few self-funded accounts.

The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in fully, level, and self-insured frameworks and will be adept at providing exceptional client-facing service, including conducting in-person and virtual meetings for client and open enrollment sessions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage a book of business consisting primarily of fully and level funded accounts, with some self-funded accounts, focusing on 50-100 employee/lives.
  • Engage in client-facing activities, including in-person and virtual meetings, to present and facilitate open enrollment meetings for employees.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and carriers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Attend client meetings in person as an essential function of this role.
  • Operate within an office setting; this role does not accommodate remote or blended work arrangements.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in managing fully, level, and self-insured accounts, particularly in a group benefits context.
  • Independent broker experience is required, highlighting a strong background in navigating complex insurance frameworks independently.
  • Ability to commute to and work from either the Everett or Tacoma office, as driving distance to one of these locations is necessary.
  • Demonstrates extensive independent broker experience, with a specific focus on fully, level, and self-insured account management.
