Our client operates at the forefront of the insurance industry, offering comprehensive solutions across commercial, personal, and employee benefits lines of insurance. With a focus on innovation and client satisfaction, they are currently in search of a seasoned Benefits Account Executive to oversee a significant portfolio of their business.
This role is pivotal, offering leadership and strategic oversight to ensure the highest level of service and efficiency in managing a book of business that encompasses up to 40 distinct accounts.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee a book of business, ensuring each of the 35-40 accounts receives impeccable service and attention.
- Lead and direct Account Managers, overseeing the administrative and day-to-day servicing of accounts.
- Enhance business growth through referrals, cross-selling, and self-generated leads, with a strong emphasis on quality rather than prospecting.
- Collaborate closely with the team to match new business with the most suitable account team, based on the client’s needs and account profile.
- Participate in the in-office days on Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.
- Engage with clients located along the I-5 corridor, from Bellingham to Olympia, requiring a presence in Western Washington.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of Employee Benefits experience, specifically on the broker side.
- At least 2 years of experience in a senior Account Manager or Account Executive role.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee Account Managers effectively.
- Proficiency with both fully-insured and self-funded accounts.
- A proven track record in managing accounts and driving sales, with a balance of management and sales skills.
- Candidates should reside in or be willing to operate extensively along the I-5 corridor in Western Washington.
