Group Benefits Account Manager | $55K-$65K DOE

Our client is a leading provider in the Group Benefits Insurance sector, offering comprehensive insurance solutions to businesses of various sizes. They are currently seeking a seasoned Benefits Account Manager to join their dedicated team.

This pivotal role involves managing the entire renewal process for group benefits accounts, ensuring clients receive top-notch service and support throughout their policy lifecycle. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing client relationships through expert management of renewals, open enrollments, and ongoing client consultations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete renewal process for each account, including setting pre-renewal meetings, consulting on plan changes, and obtaining and presenting quotes from carriers.
  • Conduct thorough analyses and presentations of plan options to clients, leading to informed decision-making and coverage binding.
  • Oversee and manage open enrollments, providing detailed explanations of coverage options to clients.
  • Utilize industry-specific software tools such as ZyWave and EZ quotes to efficiently manage accounts and communicate benefit options to clients.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, including benefits administration assistance and claims support, to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing fully funded benefits plans, with a strong focus on service rather than sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full renewal process independently, including pre-renewal meetings, policy change consultations, quoting, creating and delivering presentations, and carrier negotiations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with experience in benefits administration assistance and claims support.
  • Proficiency in using industry-specific software tools such as ZyWave and EZ quotes.
  • Experience in open enrollments and a strong understanding of employee benefits.
  • Must have broker experience, preferably with a background in fully funded plans.
  • This is a fully in-office role; no remote work options are available.
  • Candidates should come from an independent broker/agency background. Those from captive agencies, carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs), or direct writers will not be considered.
