Our client, a provider of comprehensive employee benefits and Medicare services, is seeking an experienced Benefits Account Manager to join their client-facing team.

This service-only role is integral to managing the full renewal process between clients and carriers, providing expert consultation on policy changes, and facilitating open enrollments. As a dedicated professional, you will be the bridge between clients and the complex world of benefits planning, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and supportive experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the full renewal process between clients and carriers, including reviewing benefits plans, consulting on policy changes, and creating detailed presentations.
  • Provide producer support by helping with estimates, performing carrier negotiations, and binding policies.
  • Facilitate open enrollments by providing benefits and benefits technology support to the Human Resource personnel at each client.
  • Maintain and independently manage a book of business, ensuring each client’s needs are met with precision and care.
  • Work closely with clients who have fully, level, or self-funded plans, utilizing your experience and learning new aspects as needed.
  • Commit to a 4-day in-office workweek
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience managing a book of business independently in the field of employee benefits.
  • Experience with any fully, level, or self-funded plans is acceptable, with a willingness to learn new aspects as required.
  • Exclusive experience in independent agency/broker environments. Candidates from captive agencies, direct writers, life insurance, Medicare, or individual benefits will not be considered.
  • High people skills, with a strong level of conscientiousness and agreeableness, ensuring a solution-oriented approach to client service.
