Commercial Account Manager | $65K-$95K DOE

Our client’s company, a prominent provider of group benefits, personal, and commercial lines of insurance, is in search of an experienced Commercial Account Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for adeptly managing a diverse book of business generating approximately $500,000 in revenue, with a focus on sectors such as construction, towing, and water district risks.

This role is critical in overseeing all aspects of book management, including marketing, servicing, renewal management, risk analysis, invoicing, and reporting, while addressing the needs of sophisticated business customers. The Commercial Account Manager will be pivotal in maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence by ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and collaboration with prospects, clients, and underwriters.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage a significant book of business across various sectors, focusing on construction, towing, and water district risks.
  • Oversee the marketing, servicing, renewal management, risk analysis, invoicing, and reporting for the book of business.
  • Collaborate closely with Producers to present quotes and proposals for new business and renewals.
  • Review policies to identify deficiencies and ensure clients have appropriate coverage levels.
  • Facilitate the renewal process for expiring policies, generate certificates of insurance, endorsement requests, and binders.
  • Prioritize timely fulfillment of client needs through online rating with multiple carriers and completion of Acord applications.
  • Specialize in writing and managing business in sectors like Commercial Municipality/Public Entity, Commercial Auto (fleet), and Large Construction.
  • Possession of a Property and Casualty Insurance license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Property and Casualty insurance at a retail agency.
  • In-depth knowledge of major carriers and non-admitted markets.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with prospects, clients, and underwriters.
  • Proven track record of managing sophisticated business customer needs and generating significant revenue.
