Our client, one of the top 20 independent agencies in the United States, is seeking an experienced Agency Manager to lead their largest branch in the Pacific Northwest. This agency, renowned for its reputable name and established culture, is undergoing exciting growth through acquisition and organic expansion.
The Agency Manager will play a pivotal role, akin to that of a General Manager, in guiding the branch through the current phase of development. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership experience and technical know-how, aligning with the company’s dynamic, technology-forward culture and its focus on internal promotion.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the largest branch of the business in the Pacific Northwest, managing its day-to-day operations.
- Handle profit & loss, direct middle managers, and supervise areas including Sales, Client Services, Operations, Mergers & Acquisitions, Accounting, and Human Resources.
- Uphold and nurture the agency’s established culture while integrating modern technological advancements.
- Provide leadership that promotes growth and development within the agency.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of successful experience in managing an independent agency.
- Proven track record overseeing Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, and Benefits Lines of insurance.
- Experience in managing profit & loss, middle managers, including VP of Sales, VP of Client Services, and VP of Operations.
- Expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions, and overseeing Accounting & Human Resources activities.
- Strong familiarity with modern technology and a history of promoting from within.
- Willingness to relocate to Bellingham or spend at least 3 days a week in Bellingham.
