Location: Tacoma, WA
Our client, a leading provider of employee benefits solutions, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Benefits Senior Account Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full renewal process for our client’s clients, acting as the liaison between the client and carriers, and providing benefits and benefits technology support to the Human Resource person at each client.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of experience managing a book of business independently, and be experienced at coaching and mentoring account managers and administrators. They will have experience working with complex level and self-insured groups between 100 and 3000 lives.
They have a hybrid work environment and would expect this role to be in-person (downtown Tacoma) 3 days per week, working from home 2 days per week.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the full renewal process for clients
- Act as the liaison between the client and carriers
- Review client’s Benefits Plan
- Consult on policy changes
- Create presentations
- Help with estimates (producer support)
- Perform any carrier negotiations and binding policies
- Facilitate open enrollments
- Provide benefits and benefits technology support to the Human Resource person at each client
Qualifications
- Experience managing a book of business independently
- Experience at coaching and mentoring account managers and administrators
- Experience working with complex level and self-insured groups between 100 and 3000 lives
- 10+ years of Benefits Account Management Experience
- Must come from the independent broker side
- Fully and self-insured experience
- Willing to report to the office 3 days weekly
